National Trust launch new affinity credit card

The National Trust, in association with MBNA Europe Ltd. has launched the new National Trust MasterCard, which aims to raise more than £2 million in five years for its continuing conservation work.

The Trust will receive £15 from the first transaction made after the opening of a new account, 30 pence for every £100 spent and £2 annually for every card which remains active.

Dollond & Aitchison raise £100,000 for Fight for Sight

Dollond & Aitchison has reached its three-year target of raising £100,000 for Fight for Sight through the sale of pin badges and the hosting of fundraising events.

Several branches of Dollond and Aitchison are still due to hold Fight for Sight fundraising events next week. These will be held in Nailsea, Truro and Southampton.

Maisy Mouse supports Diabetes UK

Children's character Maisy the mouse is supporting World Diabetes Day on 14 November 2004 with a Maisy pin badge promotion.

There are four badges to collect, all of which will be available throughout
November in 880 Moss Pharmacy stores. The badges will retail for a suggested
donation of £1, the proceeds of which will go to Diabetes UK.

The Snowman to front Age Concern's winter freeze campaign

Age Concern, has recruited the children's classic character , The Snowman, created by Raymond Briggs, as the face of its winter 2004 pin badge campaign to Fight the Freeze.

There will be four badges to collect, all made by The Big Badge Company: there will be two Sooty pin badges plus Sweep and Soo, which will retail for £1 with 74p of each sale going directly to Help the Aged.

Creative fundraising competition launched

Incentives company 1st Incentives and UK Fundraising are looking for the most creative fundraising idea for 2004.

The winning entrant in the competition will receive a night at a top West End show and a night for two in a four star London hotel.

Runners up will receive a free bottle of Champagne and a Highly Commended Certificate.

Looney Tunes pin badges raise funds for RNID

First charity branded bus claim disputed

Macmillan Cancer Relief might have missed the bus themselves earlier this week in claiming to have launched the first charity branded bus. NSPCC say they beat them to it by three years.
