Dealing for Donation Day to raise funds from City institutions

City institutions, banks, brokers, clearers and exchanges will join together for Dealing for Donation Day on 18 September 2003 to donate a percentage of the day's profit, or a lump sum, to Children in Crisis.

The event is supported and co-ordinated by the Mako Group, and it will be featured internationally through Bloomberg, Reuters and CNBC.

Survey on international alumni efforts

An American university is asking other universities how they manage their international alumni activities.

The International Advancement Programs office at Michigan Technological University is conducting a survey to determine international alumni efforts currently being used. They are seeking input from a range of universities.

Argos chooses charity of the year

Retailer Argos has chosen children's charity Whizz-Kidz as its Charity of the Year for 2003-4.

The partnership launched on 2 May 2003 and kicks off with Argos staff and customers across the UK participating in a Big Blue and Yellow Weekend to raise money for disabled children and young people.
