City institutions, banks, brokers, clearers and exchanges will join together for Dealing for Donation Day on 18 September 2003 to donate a percentage of the day's profit, or a lump sum, to Children in Crisis.
The event is supported and co-ordinated by the Mako Group, and it will be featured internationally through Bloomberg, Reuters and CNBC.
An American university is asking other universities how they manage their international alumni activities.
The International Advancement Programs office at Michigan Technological University is conducting a survey to determine international alumni efforts currently being used. They are seeking input from a range of universities.
Ten years on from the Promise Appeal, the Scout Association is launching its Windsor appeal.
The Chief Scout has instigated the Windsor Appeal to raise money for a lasting gift for St George's Chapel Windsor. The Chapel holds a special place in Scouting history; in 2004 it will be 70 years since King George V granted King's Scouts the honour of parading in St. George's Chapel.
The British Heart Foundation and Sense are the two official charities for the Flora London Marathon 2004.
