22 radio stations support Macmillan's 'Bring a £1 to Work Day'

Twenty two radio stations across the UK owned by Radio Investments are calling on local businesses to take part in 'Bring a £1 to Work Day' to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Relief on 19 June 2003.

The stations have a combined listenership of 3 million people. They include Minster FM, Silk FM, Central FM, Arrow FM and Spire FM.

Charity fundraising harder than five years ago, says report

A report from JP Margan Fleming Asset Management today reports that 57% of charities are finding it more difficult to raise funds than they did five years ago.

NCRI selects agency to redesign its Web site

The National Cancer Research Institute has chosen Thoughtbubble to host and redesign its Web site.

NCRI is the co-ordinating body for 15 cancer organisations in the UK, such as Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Macmillan Cancer Relief.

The new site will launch in April 2003.

Autumn Design Consultants officially closed at 5.30pm on 18 February 2003.

Originally founded by Karen Harvey in 1992
the company won a number of awards for annual reports in the not-for-profit sector.

New electronic collecting box launched

Donorpoint is a new free standing cash-point-like collecting box that accepts credit and debit card donations, thereby removing concerns over cash security.

Donorpoint has been created by Geoffrey Fenton, Managing Director of Wild Yeast, "The Raising Agent for Charities," and runs on software written by Minerva Computer Systems, based in Cheltenham.

RNIB offers accessible Blind Date game for Valentine's Day

The RNIB has commissioned accessible Web design company Nomensa to create an accessible Blind Date online game for Valentine's Day.

The game is available in both HTML and Flash formats and was designed to demonstrate that Flash animations could be created in an accessible manner. Screenreaders can access a description of the animation in the Flash file.

Charity marketing emails second most likely to be opened

Consumers are more likely to open marketing emails from charities than from insurance or leisure and entertainment companies, according to new research from online marketing group IPT.
