Privacy Policy Statement

Fundraising UK Ltd respects and protects the privacy of its users and visitors. This statement explains how we gather, use and disseminate personal information at this website.

Who owns this site?

This is the website of Fundraising UK Ltd.

Our postal address is:

17 Errington Road
Colchester, Essex, CO3 3EA
United Kingdom

We can be reached via e-mail and by telephone at +44 (0)1206 579081.

What information do we gather and how do we use it?

We collect and securely store the personal information that you provide. For each visitor to our website, our webserver automatically recognises only the visitor's domain name (its IP address), but not the e-mail address. This information helps us generate broad demographic statistics on what types of organisation are visiting the site, which pages they visit and for how long.

We use cookies on our site which recognise users' computers. This helps us provide personalised services for users who register their details with us; for example, we can log them in automatically when they return to the site, and we can pre-fill certain online forms for them. Our cookies do not detect other information stored on users' computers.

The information we collect is used to improve the content of our website and is used by us to contact visitors for our marketing purposes.

Third party advertising

We use third-party advertising companies to serve ads when you visit our website. These companies may use information (not including your name, address, email address or telephone number) about your visits to this and other websites in order to provide advertisements about goods and services of interest to you. If you would like more information about this practice and would like to know your options in relation to not having this information used by these companies, find out more from Google.

Accuracy of information

The accuracy of users' personal details is governed by the accuracy of the information users provide. We do not verify personal information. Fundraising UK Ltd is not responsible for errors or problems that arise as a result of inaccurate information provided by the user.

We do automatically attempt to validate the email addesses provided by registered users in order to ensure, via "double opt-in", that registered users do use and control that email account.

How to amend information?

Registered users can always review and amend the personal data that we have on them simply by viewing their profile. In addition registered users can delete their data at any time.

Each e-mail notification sent out includes details of how to unsubscribe.

If users experience any problems in amending or deleting their information we are keen to help and welcome contact by email or phone.

Do we share personal information?

The information we gather is not sold, given to, or otherwise shared with other organisations for commercial or any other purposes. We do, however, send out emails on behalf of selected organisations to those of our subscribers who have opted in to receive these messages. We send the messages, so at no time do the advertisers get to see users' personal information - unless of course users respond or reply to these advertisements or mailings.

Otherwise, all we share with other organisations, such as advertisers, are aggregate statistics, none of which include personally identifiable information. For example, we will tell advertisers that we have a certain number of visitors to the site, a certain number of trust fundraisers registered with us, or a certain number of registered users interested in job vacancies in Lancashire.

Children

This site is not intended to provide information to children. It is designed for adult professional and voluntary fundraisers, staff at fundraising businesses, and related staff.

Links

The website links to tens of thousands of other websites. We are of course not responsible for the privacy practices or the content on these sites. Nor do we guarantee that these sites and their content are still available.
