Justgiving wins New Media Age award

Submitted by howardlake on 3 July, 2002 - 00:00.

Online donation service Justgiving has won the all category Grand Prix in the New Media Age Effectiveness Awards.

The top award was made for Justgiving's Flora London Marathon sponsorship service. In addition Justgiving won the Best Use of the Web Award. In winning the Grand Prix Justgiving beat major names including MTV, Expedia and Friends Reunited.

NMA Editor Michael Nutley said: "When we judged Best Use of the Web, we felt Justgiving.com's work showed brilliant communications between sponsors, charities and runners. It was a tough choice for Grand Prix but Justgiving.com was not only an innovative use of technology but also sustainable and extendable, adding a lot of value to the society in which we live."
