Children's Centre Project starts capital appeal

The Children's Centre Project (CCP) has begun a capital appeal, working with Cascaid, for a new building to bring together children's charities.

Children's charities which have an interest in partnership working and sharing ideas will have share a central London office if a capital appeal by the Children's Centre Project is successful.

The Children's Centre Project (CCP) is looking at ways the children's voluntary sector can work together to improve the lives of children and young people. The establishment of a new building in central London will be a major part of the CCP's work, offering an infrastructure for collaborative working in the children's sector.

CCP has appointed Cascaid to conduct a feasibility study for the £25 million capital campaign for the new building. Cascaid's Managing Director David Coe said: "It's not just a building project, it's more of a near paradigm for charity's co-operation!"

CCP is a partnership project which has been funded by the Treasury through the Invest to Save Budget to explore partnership working in the voluntary sector. Partners currently include National Children's Bureau, the Who Care's? Trust and Young Minds.
