Save the Children launches its annual fundraising event, the Festival of Trees, at the Natural History Museum on 26 November in the evening.

The museum will be transformed into a winter wonderland for the evening and will preview Christmas trees specially created for the occasion by leading names from the world of fashion, sport, design and business, and donated to the organisation. In previous years, trees have been donated to Save the Children by Harrods, Swarovski Crystal and Ozwald Boeteng.

Marks & Spencer, Sophie Conran as well as Everton Football Club are among the designers this year. Save the Children supporters, celebrities and their children will preview a forest of designer Christmas Trees which will be auctioned on the 4th of December at the Festival of Trees Gala Dinner. The Christmas trees will be exhibited in the café alongside the ice rink and can also be seen in the windows of Coutts & Co on The Strand from November 27th to the 30th.

Last year's Festival of Trees raised over £450,000 for Save the Children, bringing the total to £3 million since the event began 19 years ago.
