I have a three year old grandson diagnosed with autism.
He is supposed to get speech therapy,occupational therapy,dieticians help with feeding etc.
In fact he just attends a childrens centre twice a week,never sees any of the therapists that he is entitled to by law,even though it says on his care plan that he does.
He is not alone,the other children at the centre are in the same boat. Lack of funding is the general excuse.
Early intervention is critical with autistic children,but they are just left in a closed world by an uncaring society.
I want to raise money to set up a fund to pay for therapy for my grandson and other kids like him,but I have no idea of what I need to do to begin.
Any advice please?
