My brother who is a successful commercial lawyer in New South Wales is
convinced that the 'old English' game of conkers could be a success in
Australia - conkers marketed in a small box with strings/rules and
regulations etc. He has permission from the Australian government to
import them.

He believes the next stage is to find out how to organise the collection
of conkers in England, and is interested in linking with a British
charity who may be able to get involved with collection/distribution - %
of net profits to be agreed.

If anybody reading this doesn't think this idea is as crazy as it
sounds, has tried and failed to get conkers off the ground (sorry for
the pun!) or is indeed already involved in something similar, please let
me know.

Hi Jill,

Sounds like a good idea - it would have insurers sucking their teeth at
the thought of health and safety here though!

Richard

Did you know that 8 out of 10 people support a charity in their lifetime
but only 4% at their deathtime through a gift in their will?
