Has anyone got any tips for fundraising in rural schools?

Re: fundraising in rural schools

Here's an idea that could be relevant, if not to everyone's taste. Still it made it onto The Sun's Web site this week so got extensive coverage.

Jefferson County High School in Nashville "is encouraging punters to bet on where a cow will poo on its football field" to raise funds after the state Senate started allowing gambling fundraising events by certain non-profits.

Fundraising idea stinks

Re: MISC > Rural Schools

Have a look at www.buy.at

We provide free webshops for organisations including many schools.

Every time your teachers and parents do their on-line shopping through the webshop you earn commission for the school (between 3% and 15%). Many schools are earning £20 or more a month from this.

As people in rural areas tend to be more aware of the benefits of online shopping, I would expect this scheme to be especially successful for schools in rural parts.

Any question's give me a bell on 0800 138 2161

Take a look at the Do it Yourself Fundraising information sheet on our
website at www.cibfunding.org.uk There is also reference to a website
based in Australia that offers further ideas.

There are a few things there. But the genaral rules are the same as for
any other fundraising campaign - identify the goals and plan your way to
them!

Cheers
