I'm asking on behalf of a friend: She is currently living in North America, working as the Director of Development for an independent school. Keen to come to the UK, she has easy access to a visa because of her spouse is a UK citizen...
Where does one begin to look for similar jobs in the independent school realm? Obviously a few such jobs have been advertised on this website; there are university-type jobs on www.jobs.ac.uk and the Guardian's jobsunlimited has a few come up now and then.... the independent schools websites (ISA and ISC) seem to advertise only for teaching-related positions.
These options aside, I'm at a loss where one might look. Is there an organisation like CAIS (Canadian Association of Independent Schools), or NAIS (National Assocation of Independent Schools), or CASE (Council for Advancement and Support of Education) that would advertise for senior advancement/development jobs at independent schools in the UK?
Any help, at this point, is appreciated.

Good places to look for adverts for these kind of vacancies include:
EuroCASE (the European branch of CASE)
www.case.org/container.cfm?CONTAINERID=75&CRUMB=2&NAVID=57
They send out weekly vacancy alerts via email.
Institute of Development Professionals in Education

Unfortunately their site is currently under redevelopment.
The following consultancies and agencies also frequently advertise independent school fundraising/development vacancies:
