I'm heading out to live for a year in Toronto, Canada in September 05. I have a work visa and want to continue to work in fundraising.
I've specialised in trust and statutory fundraising, have 16 months experience and Part 1 of the Certificate of Fundraising Management.
Does anyone have/know of any contacts that might be useful?

It's more specific, but independent schools are often looking for fundraisers. You might want to try:

Hi,
You should check out
www.charityvillage.ca
this is the on line portal that most not for profits organisations use for advertsiing jobs sector news, similar to fundraising UK, you should also look at
www.afptoronto.org
this is the local chapter page for the AFP North American equivelant to the Institute of Fundraising. Cynthia Quigley is the lady you should speak to there.
The canadian sector is very bouyant and you should be able to pick something up quite easily.

Although you've got the Certificate, you might also consider acquiring the Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE), which is widely recognised in Canada and North America, and now has a UK programme too.
The Association of Fundraising Consultants is running the UK programme:

For a fabulous and long-standing resource for the Canadian nonprofit sector, including fundraisers, visit:

Good luck with the move.
