High value individuals/gifts

Hi folks,
I work for an international charity - health, children, poverty ,education, etc. We were thinking about starting fundraising from high value individuals. Could anyone point me in the right direction of where to get lists of individuals giving large gifts to charity in the Uk, and best ways to approach them?

You could try contacting prospect researchers - there's a few of us about. The Institute of Fundraising handbook and website are good places to find out about prospect researchers. You could also ask on other discussion groups e.g.
