Does anyone have any facts and figures on the rise of In Memory giving in the UK? Or how individual charities have built up this income stream?
Anything would be useful
thanks

PS- I have no affiliation here other than previously having worked with them on projects...
RE: In mem giving
Check with Whitewater as their 'Our Lasting Tribute' is probably the largest in-mem scheme in the UK. They'll benefit from the knowledge of 60+ clients. Their site, www.ourlastingtribute.com, has some good detail...
Steve Andrews is the MD their and a really approachable guy.

I've not seen anything, but if you do find anything, I'd be very careful to check the proportion of medical charities, which I suspect are disproportionate recipients of In Memory giving. To be honest, for somewhere like ZSL, I'd be surprised if it was worth doing more than discreetly piggybacking it onto your legacy materials. I'd be surprised if you got much response in memory of people who weren't already likely to leave something in their will.
