I work for a small charity based in India. It has a UK-registered arm, but we want to start allowing people to donate online and would prefer the funds to go straight to the main Indian charity.
I'd be really grateful if anyone could recommend a supplier for online donations to non-UK charities. I know that Paypal is an option but I'd like to know if there are any alternatives that we could consider.
Many thanks,
Alex

RE: Online donations for overseas charities
hi there, i also work for a small charity based in south africa, what to do is to log on to www.aidconnect.org or www.aidmatrix.org, they will explain the rest.
RE: Online donations for overseas charities
Try
http://www.giveindia.org
which describes itself as "a donation platform that allows you to support a cause of your choice from about 100 NGOs that have been scrutinised for transparency & credibility."
I've not had any dealings with them but they have a long list of clients who presumably could tell you how well it has served them.
RE: Online donations for overseas charities
Although you might find a technical solution to this, you may find other obstacles.
If donations don't go into a UK registered charity's bank account, you won't be able to collect Gift Aid.
You could not fundraise as a UK charity. This will raise questions of accountability in the minds of some donors.
Would you have problems with money laundering regulations? I don't know.
