Can anyone tell me how much on average a freelance fundraiser charges per hour orper half day/day of their time?
Thanks

RE: RE: Charge-out rates
Depends how you're looking at it: if you can persuade someone to hire you at a rate, it's acceptable... So your track record and how it matches what a potential client is looking for is bound to be a big factor. But I'd expect a freelance to be raising at least ten times what they're paid, and ideally a lot more than that.
Guessing more than a little, I'd be surprised if you got work at over the IoF rate, and I've seen work offered for freelance fundraisers at 100-120 a day. Whether that's economical depends on how much time you need to spend on the sales side of things, and how much time/money you spend on your professional development.
RE: Charge-out rates
Thanks James. I am thinking about setting up as a freelance fundraiser. Whilst I have no official qualifications, I have been doing the job for 4 years now. Would you say that the charge-out rates you quoted would still be valid/acceptable?
RE: Charge-out rates
Depending on experience, and the nature of the job, I'd expect the range to be £200 to £600 a day for someone of Cert. IoF standard. Last time I checked, the IoF suggested around £350, but that may have changed since - it was quite a few years ago.
