Auction of Promises

Hi Stacey,

I used Auction of Promises for a fundraising event for our local swimming pool and found this to be the simplest way forward, unless you specifically want an event organised.

(Hi, I would like to organise an auction of promises for my local school in the Spring. Can anyone give me some ideas on how to go about this or signpost me to helpful advice?

1st rule..Organisation, organisation, organisation.

Have two sets of forms: 1 I am giving...
2 I am buying

Both should have space for name, address, telephone number

Form No:1.. how much the item/service is worth, when it is available, any restrictions etc (ie: normal cost £295 one week accomodation in benidorn for first week of August sleeps 4 no children or pets).

Form No:2 How much they are willing to pay. When payment should be made and how. (ie: payment within 14 days made payable to...) And then information on how they will recieve the goods/service (ie: you will be contacted to collect/receive prize after payment is made.

To get the promises in you can either contact all parents direct (letter/leaflet to all pupils) or contact local businesses, either by writing to them or go and knock on doors.

When holding your event let everyone know what each item is for.
