Hi
I have a vague memory of there being a 'rule' / 'guideline' on Telephone PDDs that where the donor doesn't want to give by PDD or DD that we should offer standing orders as an alternative.
In the past, with other telephone agencies this was standard practice, but wondered if everyone was doing this?
Can someone point me in the direction of any guidelines indicating this??
Thanks
Liz

RE: Telephone Paperless Direct Debits
Thanks Scott
I didn't want to promote the SO's as an option - we're also trying to convert everyone form SO - DD.
So long as we're not breaching any guidelines or rules we'll carry on without the SO option for upgrades.
Thanks

RE: Telephone Paperless Direct Debits
Hi Liz,
You have to offer your supporters an option of receiving a direct debit instruction in the post under the PDD rules but there are no rules that govern this if you want to offer a Standing Order.
I must admit, offering Stranding Order should be a last resort as the majority of charities are moving away from this payment method to the benefits of direct debit.
Hope this helps, feel free to contact me directly if you would like to discuss 01293 524066.
Kind regards
Scott
