Fundraising Database reccomendations

Submitted by Forum_Admin on 15 June, 2007 - 15:49.

Hi all,

I have been struggling with my fundraising in terms of keeping on top of all my records as all i have is a simple and basic access database.
This really is not enough for my organisation and I need to find an alternative that isnt nearly as costly as say Razors Egde but still pretty good. I have to manage direct debits, standing orders, events, trusts info, corporates, legacy stuff, gift aid and so on.
Does anyone have any advice or reccomendations. I really do not wish to go down the route of using Access either as has been suggested previously. I think our fundraising has gone past the point where we can use that.
Please Help me!

RE: Fundraising Database reccomendations

Hi there

There is a wide choice of relatively cheap and effective fundraising systems out there that would probably fit the bill - donor strategy, progress, advantage fundraiser, donorflex, kiss contacts, charitease, engino's system...
the list goes on and on -

the only word of warning i'd offer is that don't assume that you need a cheap and cheerful solution - your needs may be bigger than you realise and going for a cheap option may cost more in the long run.

i'm sure there's plenty of people on these boards who'd be happy to offer you more advice
