Hello
I've recently started a new role as a Marketing Adviser for the charity VSO and we will have a number of fundraising jobs to advertise in the near future. As our positions are for volunteers to work overseas, we need to be clever and cost effective about advertising. I'd be interested to know where most people look for jobs - in addition to this site, of course! I'd also be interested to know if people use on- or off-line media for example Third Sector and the Guardian offer both media for sourcing jobs.
Thank you for any replies. And I'd be happy to receive details of advertising rates from this site to rowena.harding@vso.org.uk
Cheers
Rowena

RE: RE: Where to look for jobs?
It's not really appropriate for us to go to agencies for volunteer jobs unless of course agencies are willing to waive all their fees! However I have been passed on an interesting event, details of which are below (and to which I have no connection other than to attend) which might be of interest to Managers recruiting FR staff for teams:
"Breakfast Seminar - 8th November 2007, 8.30am - 11.30am
Newsroom Lecture Theatre
The Guardian
60 Farringdon Road
London
"The voluntary sector faces a critical issue: more and more organisations want good, experienced fundraisers and yet the pool of available talent is dwindling. It’s something we, as an industry, must resolve together. Which is why your attendance at and input to this breakfast seminar is so vital.
"Throughout the day you will hear thought provoking insight from key industry figures. You will gain practical advice, information and guidance on recruitment matters. Plus, there will be plenty of opportunities to network with other HR professionals and fundraisers who are in exactly the same situation.
"For more information and to book your place, please email: focusonfundraising@wjpfloyd.co.uk
"Chaired by David Brindle, The Guardian's Public Services Editor.
Guest speakers: Elaine Smethurst, Working for a Charity (NCVO), Megan Pacey, Institute of Fundraising
and Jill Toombs, HR Director, Mencap."
There is also an interesting discussion on the Trusts Yahoo group about the Fundraising crisis, that can be viewed on their archives.
RE: Where to look for jobs?
Do you have an interest in Flow Caritas Daz? If so, please declare.
I'm going to cheekily advertise as well to follow up - Prospectus Ltd (www.prospect-us.co.uk) recruits for the not-for-profit sector at all levels (clerical thru' to Exec, including specialist: fundraising, accounts, HR, marketing).
Declared interest: the CEO of Prospectus Ltd is Chair of the Trustees of the charity I work for, and Prospectus donates our (my!) office space and services.
RE: Where to look for jobs?
I know a lot of people who post and look for jobs at Flow Caritas
They're a non-profit recruitment consultant specialising in charity work.
Definately worth a look!
