Concepts Required

Submitted by davidmorris on 6 October, 2007 - 15:05.

I've been in the fundraising services industry for a few years (providing race nights) and I am looking for new and innovative fundraising ideas/concepts for my customers, who are seeking additional ways to generate funds for their worthy causes.

Thanks in advance for the ideas!

AAArrrrrrrggghhhh.....
Not that word - empower.
Any relation to Npower the gas/lecky supplier?

Seriously, there are many innovative ideas both from fundraisers and non-fundraisers.
The trick is finding out what works where. And recording what didn't work and why, so others don't try and invent the exact same solution.

RE: Concepts Required

Like many others we are constantly trying to come up with these ideas for clients and spend a fair bit of time and money trying to develop new services and products. I can say that it's hard work, it costs and sometimes things don't work. We have a number of projects at various stages, but we're always on the look out for the holy grail - us and everyone else!

In my humble opinion I think that those who come up with good concepts/ideas should get the chance to develop them for themselves - the IOF had a 'dragons den' type event a while ago, which I think is a great idea.

Our industry is full of ideas people and fundraiser's have oodles of innovation. We need to empower individuals to develop their ideas for the good of the sector, and indeed themselves - after all we all need to pay the piper!

Hi Martin

The company im working with (a major PLC company) has just launched a fantastic and unique new fund raising option that can raise a never ending supply of funds for any cause.

At this stage we are unable to deal with large charities but can help any other organization to raise funds.

And it's fun too!

If you would like further information please email me at johnbosworth2@yahoo.co.uk

Happy Fundraising.

John

RE: Concepts Required

We are looking for new ways and ideas for people (customers) to generate funds for their worthy causes.

We've had ideas like BUY A BRICK and CLOTHES COLLECTING etc..

Its' the more unusual, or new ideas that we would like to make our customers to be aware of.

We also design/program/produce and distribute Quiz Nite DVD's for quiz night masters and for charity events etc.....the dvd's look great when displayed on plasma tv's or video projection systems!

Thanks

RE: Concepts Required

Hi, Martin

I read that as : "My business sells fundraising services to charities. Do you have any intellectual property you would like to give me?"

Have I misunderstood?

There are lots of people on here who come up with brilliant fundraising ideas, but some of us make our living providing such ideas to charities, while others exploit their ideas for their chosen cause.

Perhaps you might like to narrow the field a little, and say what sort of ideas you're looking for - casino night? unusual race nights? fancy dress parties?

I'm not wishing to appear snippy, but this may explain why you've had no other responses as yet.

Cheers

Gerry
