Hi, I'm new to this so please bear with me as I try to explain!

I work for a registered charity in Leicester city as one of 3 Academic Coaches working within 9 secondary schools across the city. I have been in this post since May 07, and the project is funded by the Neighbourhood Renewal Fund until March 08.

We are hopeful that the funding will be extended for at least another year, as this is a fledgling project in the city and our work is only just beginning to have an impact.

Because of the uncertainty of extended funding for 08/09, I have decided to look into independent funding for the project, in order to continue the work within schools. Does anyone have any experience in this field, and if so can anyone point me in the right direction for any information that would be useful! Any help would be gratefully received (especially if it helps keep me in a job next year :) )
