I am currently a charity shop manager, I am planning a spring ball for April next year for my local area. I just need a helping hand from anyone out there with any experience specificly in charity balls as I have never planned one before, I dont know what kind of budget is needed and what is best to do to create maximum profit.
I have planned a fashion show and concert for the charity but this is on a much larger scale.
Any help would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks Phe

RE: Charity Ball
How many is it for? And who is it for? If it is for your local area is it for staff or potential and current donators?
I have found that It is easier to organise the party side of things and try and get sponsors for it rather than get money and then decide how to spend it. But I am sure others prefer the otherway around lol
If you know how much your core expences are going to be you will know how much you need to raise either by getting donations or on how much to charge for the tickets.
Try to get as much entertainment and room hire costs waived as possible. I did one where we only had to pay for the buffet and half the entertainment but even so the cheepest buffet we could get was £15.99 a head and half the entertainment was £550
If you can get a helper to spread the load it is ten times easier. Unless you have a list of people you know are willing to donate , getting the money is the hardest thing.
