Just a few thoughts from me;

Most of the best known fundraising CRM systems have good integration with Outlook - and I know of at least one system that does have a shared calendar of events, as you are looking for (Raiser's Edge)

I'm always keen also to encourage organisations thinking about a new fundraising system to bear in mind 2 things

a) creating your own system in Access is just not in the best long-term interests of your organisation, whatever your size and needs

b) you get what you pay for - some of the cheaper systems don't necessarily provide you with the tools you need - and you may incur costs in other ways.
