Sponsorship for music festival

Hi...im in the process of organising a two day music festival to be held in Lancashire August 08.
The main aim of this event is to raise money for the "help a local child" charity.
At the moment i am looking for funding through corporate sponsorship but i have no idea where to start with this.
I am starting to feel rather inexperienced as this is the one area i no nothing about.
If any one can help point me in the right direction it would be very much appreicated!!

You might find a couple of half-day sessions with a professional a very worthwhile investment : in fact, depending on the scale of this event, it might be wise to consider handing over this aspect of your event to a consultant/independent.
