Staff and customers at Lloyds TSB, Argos, Homebase, The Co-Operative, Fitness First, Colgate, Midlands Co-op, Coinstar, Michael Page and Booker will now be helping support the charity.

Argos, Homebase and Lloyds TSB will be selling special heart-shaped pin badges in all their stores and branches for a suggested donation of £1 from early February.

For every Hallmark Valentine’s card bought from a local Co-operative store, 5p will be donated to the campaign.

Ten pence will be donated for every Colgate product purchased in February as part of their 3 for 2 offer in all Boots stores.

Midlands Co-op's Travel, Retail and Floristry businesses will be supporting the campaign with a range of red-themed fundraising events, including Love Note displays in selected store windows.

All spare change donated to the BHF via Coinstar machines during the first two weeks of February will be donated to the campaign. The machines are available in large Asda, Sainsbury's, Tesco or Morrison's stores.

All Michael Page International employees will be encouraged to wear red on 13 February, and to take part in Red for Heart fundraising events throughout the month.

Fitness First and Booker will also be showing their support this February by holding staff fundraising days for the campaign.
