EAPG Dublin Seminar 21 May 2008 9.15am welcome for 9.30 - 12.00pm

Discussion leader: Neal Newman, Managing Director, Philanthropia International

This fast-paced, hands-on seminar will provide charity leaders and fundraisers with the practices, principles, and process of corporate fundraising, enabling them to effectively create, participate in, and manage a corporate fundraising strategy.

Applying private resources for the public good is a central tenet of a healthy and vigorous democratic society. The best philanthropy makes a substantive difference on critical issues aiming for long-term positive impact, yet inspiring and directing corporate investment for the public good and for the long-haul can be hard work and awfully frustrating. However, corporate philanthropy represents about 10% of all charitable contributions and is often misperceived and mismanaged by charity leaders.

Topics covered will include:
- An Overview of Corporate Philanthropy
- Corporate Social Responsibility
- Sponsorship
- Cause Related Marketing
- Employee Fundraising
- In-kind Gifts
- Relationship Management
