The study identifies and describes in detail the build-up and tipping points that underpin lapsing – as well as the impact of recruitment, donor status, age, gender and donor expectations.

It cites ongoing attention to emotional and intellectual needs as key to managing increasingly discerning and worryingly fickle donors.

The project began in February of this year, taking six months to complete.
