This course looks at the importance of proper suppport and supervision for volunteers and explores how dealing with issues early can help avoid problems later on!
This course is suitable for anyone who supports and supervises volunteers and is suitable for all levels of experience as the course will be tailored to suit the needs of the participants.
By the end of the course participants will:

Be able to understand the value of proper support and supervision and be able to introduce and implement it to both new and exsisting volunteers.

Understand the pros and cons of different methods of support and supervision.

Have the skills to be able to carry out support and supervision sessions, including having to give difficult feedback to volunteers when things aren't going so well.
Training will be delivered by Caroline Shead, manager of the Harrogate Volunteer Centre. Caroline is a qualified trainer and has extensive experience of recruiting and supporting volunteers within the Harrogate Voluntary sector.
