The workshop will include sections on
- Statistics and terminology in the legacy marketing sector
- Trends & size of the market: how does your charity compare and where does it fit in?
- Group exercises will examine donor motivations in leaving a legacy and why individuals will support your charity, and perhaps why they won’t.
- What legacy marketing is and what it isn't, and the importance of internal communication
- Identifying the best prospects for your legacy marketing activities: when, how and what
- Putting your legacy marketing strategy together: what are the key areas?
The workshop is designed for fundraising directors and fundraising managers, who have little experience of legacy marketing and are starting their legacy marketing programme from scratch.
The workshop will be led by Sheila McGuinness, who has over 13 years in the charity sector and has held positions at the British Heart Foundation, Help the Aged and the Parkinson's Disease Society where she gained significant experience of legacy marketing.
