Curry King Charan Gill launches Care for a Curry for dementia charity

Curry King Charan Gill, MBE has launched the Care for a Curry? campaign to raise funds for dementia charity Alzheimer Scotland.

Although the campaign doesn’t get underway until 15 May with an evening of fine Indian dining in the Chubara Indian Restaurant at the Quay complex in Musselburgh, Gill has himself sponsored two dementia nurses at a cost of £500 each which will pay for a whole week of specialised dementia care.

Alzheimer Scotland Chief Executive Jim Jackson said: "The Care for a Curry? campaign is about using the great Scottish love affair with fiery foods from far-off lands as a means to help people with dementia and their carers by supporting Alzheimer Scotland."
