The RAG (Raising and Giving) society at the University of Bristol is celebrating its 80th anniversary.
During its 80 years, the RAG Society has raised over £850,000 for various charities.
In the past year alone 4,000 volunteer students have raised more than £123,000, with one of them raising £13,340 of that on their own. The Society says that its RAG week in February 2005 was its most successful to date.
The Society’s website includes a page recognising the most successful fundraising students with a table of their totals raised.
The Society accepts grant applications from voluntary and community groups from the Bristol area.
