Local charities offered one day stall at Bath Christmas market

Organisers of the Bath Christmas Market are inviting local charities to apply to run the charity market stall for a day in the run-up to Christmas.
This year’s Bath Christmas Market runs from Thursday 27 November to Sunday 14 December, and is expected to attract 370,000 tourists and shoppers. That means 18 charities can each run the popular market stall for one day.
Last year, the total raised on the stall between the organisations was over £14,000.
CLIC Sargent took part in the Christmas market and raised over £1,000 in just one day. Amy White from the charity said:

“We had a fantastic day and would like to thank Bath Tourism Plus for their support. We had many positive comments from customers and one really positive outcome was that a local person loved our stall so much she has now become a volunteer.”

Other charities that were chosen included the Guide Dogs for the Blind, the Forever Friends Appeal, the Great Western Air Ambulance Charity, the Rotary Club and Alzheimer’s Society.
So, it might be approaching mid-summer, but entries for the charity stall at Bath Christmas Market are open now and close on 11 July 2014. To apply email Bath Tourism to request an application form. All interested charities will be added to a short-list; 18 successful charity applicants will be chosen at random and notified in August 2014.
