Bookmaker Coral has raised £50,000 in one month for Children with Cancer UK by taking part in the charity’s Bake Club in May.
In the run-up to Bake Club Month the charity encouraged people across the UK to get baking and get together to hold fundraising events to raise vital funds.  All 1,800 betting shops and over 9,000 Coral staff took part in the company’s event, which took place on Saturday 24th May.

Corporate charity partnership

The fundraising activity is part of a larger charity partnership. Coral’s staff voted to support Children with Cancer UK throughout 2014-15.  They hope to raise over £500,000 for the cause through events including pub quizzes, dress down days and sporting challenges.
Coral Spokesperson, Nicola McGeady said”

“Last year we raised £759,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support and this year we are determined to raise even more for Children With Cancer UK”.
