Rehab launches online deals fundraising scheme

Rehab Foundation in Ireland has launched a new fundraising scheme which allows people to bid online for what it describes as ‘top of the range’ consumer products.
Called Rehab Deals its website offers items for sale at an unknown discount but the exact price is a mystery until the customer uses credits to sneak a peek at the price. If a participant thinks the deal is good enough, they can purchase before it’s gone. Each time they use ‘credits’ to look at the deal, the price falls further.
The website provides a guarantee that the price will always be below Rehab’s retailer partners’ in-store price. The items are shipped directly from the supplier to the customer with all the usual warranties.
If a customer is interested in purchasing any item, they pay a nominal fee using their credits to view the price. Credits cost just 8c, and the number of credits used to view any item depends on the item and changes regularly. Each discounted price falls further every time someone views the item so customers have to decide whether to wait and see how much better the price gets, or grab it before someone else does.

“There will be full transparency on the monies raised, and the first project that will be supported is RehabCare’s Navan respite service for children with intellectual, physical or sensory disabilities as well as those on the Autistic Spectrum”

said Rehab director of fundraising John Fleming.
Rehab Fundraising is the fundraising arm of the Rehab Foundation which runs a number of transactional fundraising schemes including annual lottery and bingo games.
