Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator

In the first two weeks of April, The Office of the Scottish Charity Regulator (OSCR) will undertake another survey of the public and charities. I understand that the survey will be issued to “representative samples of 1,000 Scottish charities and 10,000 Scottish households”. OSCR wants to “track awareness of, and attitudes to, key issues affecting the charity sector and its regulation”. You can participate in the survey by selecting the appropriate link:

The deadline for completion of the public survey is 11th April and for the charity survey, 18th April.

I am not sure that it is a great fit, but I used this opportunity to bang on about the unavailability of accounts, asking that OSCR either make them available online, or negotiate with Guidestar UK so that they can. I also asked that the OSCR register includes the name of the correspondent, and, where the correspondent is at a business address, the OSCR should include the name of that business. I forgot to ask about telephone and fax numbers, email address and website – tsk!
