Is Your Favorite Charity Spying On You?

Thanks to Sacha Tremain, Major Donor Research Manager at The National Trust for bringing a blog on prospect research to my attention. While it relates to the USA, the blog refers to an article in the Wall Street Journal and the response from the Association of Prospect Researchers for Advancement. The articles raise some useful questions. However, I think that some of the concerns do not apply to fundraising in the UK, as hospital fundraisers don’t usually get to check patients’ lists to see who might be a potential major gift donor.
