I work for a small social care agency that provides a range of support services aimed at adults with a learning disability and their family members and carers.
I have recently been trying to secure funding to be used towards the costs of staff posts that provide one-to-one support to our users. I have created a project that will assist our users to experience employment and then to secure paid employment. I have also included the extension of our current opening hours for a support service that runs twice a week.
Despite securing a large three year loan from a Trust, recently applications ranging from a £2,000 ask and asks for more than £30,000 have been unsuccessful.
As Trusts and Foundations form the largest income generation for the charity i would like to begin raising income from Government agencies. I currently use Trustfunding.org.uk and would like to know if other fundraisers have any luck with the governmentfunding.org.uk site and any other on-line sources or books i could use to target government funding.
