I will be moving to London from Toronto, Canada at the end of August and looking for a job in the fundraising field. I am currently working at Parkinson Society Canada as a Corporate and Foundation Officer, where I develop and manage fundraising and stewardship programs in support of major gifts from corporations and trusts.
I have secured a two year work visa and I am excited to learn new skills in a new country, but I am also looking for advice regarding job hunting. Any advice or suggestions on:
1) Where to look for fundraising jobs in the UK.
2) Any thoughts on what I can do in advance before I arrive in the UK in terms of making connections or developing leads.
3) The differences between UK resumes and Canadian resumes, if anyone has experience in this.
