Ireland Funds open for applications

The Ireland Funds

The small grants round from the Ireland Funds is now open for applications.

The grants is designed to support a wide range of organisations working across the 32 counties of Ireland.  The maximum amount is €20,000/£16,000 with the average award around €5,000/£4,000.

Under what the Ireland Funds calls ‘four pillars’ funding will be allocated to projects in  Arts & Culture, Community Development, Education and Peace & Reconciliation. With these four areas the Ireland Funds has identified 7 priorities:

 

  • Promoting Culture and Heritage
     
  • Investing in Ireland’s Communities
     
  • Assisting Disadvantaged Youth
     
  • Promoting Philanthropy in Ireland
     
  • Assisting the Elderly or Forgotten Irish
     
  • Providing Access to Education
     
  • Supporting a Shared Future for Northern Ireland

Applications can be made online. The closing date for applications is 28 March 2013.
