New national charity lottery 'Unity' announced

Cumbrian-based Sterling Management Centre has set up nationwide charity lottery called 'Unity' with a weekly jackpot prize of £25,000. The company says that it has been developed to make it easier for smaller charities and organisations to raise funds through running a weekly lottery draw.

Unity is open to all charities and voluntary organisations whatever their size. Participating charities will receive a marketing pack containing personalised leaflets and posters promoting their particulra charity lottery.

Sterling has more than 20 years experience in the lottery market and currently provides services to more than 70 charitable organisations across the UK.

Richard Dixon, Managing Director of Sterling Management Centre, said: "We help charities raise over £35 million every year through running lotteries. We have worked with charities for over 23 years and in this time we have realised that there is a need for a joint scheme offering charities and other organisations a risk free way to fundraise. Unity returns 50% of each player's money to their charity or organisation and there is no minimum limit of players per organisation."
