Demelza, the hospice charity for children, has launched an advertising campaign in London's Evening Standard to seek business support for its capital campaign. with the title "Can we come and tell you about Demelza?" The ad consists primarily of a speech bubble containing that request from Ted Gladdish, the charity's Chief Executive.
Demelza cares for over 450 children and families across the South East in Kent, East Sussex and South London with its site in Sittingbourne and through its hospice at home service.
The charity is working to expand its capability so is building a new hospice in Eltham, South East London. It is just half a mile from Charlton FC, who will be funding one of the children's bedrooms.
Ted Gladdish, Chief Executive of Demelza, said: "The advertising is designed to underpin a £6.5 million Capital Appeal. Almost £2.5 million has been raised so far. We are seeking the remainder from a variety of business sources and our succinct message "Can we come and tell you about Demelza?" will help us to reach our target."
