Nigel Harris is to step down after six years as Chief Executive of New Philanthropy Capital (NPC), the charity that provides
research and advice for donors who seek maximum impact from their donations. He will be succeeded by Martin Brookes, currently NPC's Research Director.

Before NPC, Brookes worked at the Bank of England, Goldman Sachs and Amnesty International. He will take over at the end of March, with Harris remaining with NPC until the end of April.

Nigel Harris said: "NPC has become a leader in promoting effective giving, and now is a good time to be handing on the baton. It will allow me to pursue my other passions, international development and social finance."
