The Fundraising Standards Board has launched a campaign in Hull as a joint initiative with Hull City Council and Hull Community Voluntary Services.

Poster sites throughout the city are advising the public to look out for the 'tick' logo on charities' fundraising materials when they are approached to make a donation or give support. This is backed up by information leaflets at local libraries, leisure centres, customer service centres and other council offices.

Marketing manager of the FRSB Samantha Wilson said: "The campaign will ensure that local people can take some simple steps when considering donating to a charity which will give them some reassurance." Around 60 local organisations have joined the FRSB scheme.
