NCVO launches Funding Central database of 4,000 funding opportunities

Funding Central

NCVO (the National Council for Voluntary Organisations) has published Funding Central, a new online resource detailing over 4,000 grants, contracts and loans for the voluntary, community and social enterprise sectors.

It features national, local and regional funding, together with that available from Europe.

The site is more than a simple database of funding and finance opportunities. It also offers a 'guided search' option, "enabling you to identify the most appropriate funding and finance."

It has been designed for fundraisers, funders (who have access to relevant tools in their own 'Funder Zone'), and infrastructure organisations, which can use support materials to help them in their work.

The site is free to use and is funded by the Office of the Third Sector. It is managed by NCVO, has the contract to run the site for three years, in partnership with j4b Software.

Volresource.org.uk's email newsletter last week helpfully pointed out two other funding resources, one for Wales run by WCVA at:

and another covering England run by South Yorkshire Funding Advice Bureau) at:
