Epilepsy Action is encouraging tea drinkers to take part in National Tea Break 2009 and raise funds for the charity.

This year’s event on Friday 23 October is the seventh time that the charity has run the tea-themed fundraising campaign. National Tea Break offers an annual opportunity for tea lovers to get together to help raise funds simply by drinking tea and eating cake.

Since 2003 800 Tea Breaks have taken place, raising £88,000, and this year the charity hopes to break the £100,000 barrier.

Everyone who registers to be a Tea Break organiser will receive an organiser’s pack. These will contain a guide featuring hints and tips, posters to promote the event, invitation cards, and celebrity recipe cards.
