Social media agency launched for the not-for-profit sector

Voice

A team of consultants, trainers and social media practitioners have launched Voice, a social media agency for the not-for-profit sector. It aims to provide practical social media support to charity, arts and governmental organisations in the UK.

Oxford-based Voice brings together a team of specialists from fundraising, campaigning, communications, marketing and social media backgrounds to help clients to incorporate social media strategies into their strategic planning and into their day-to-day activities.

It offers consultancy, training and social media campaign management services.

David Dixon, founder of The Phone Room Ltd and now Voice, and an international consultant in arts management, said: "In the NFP sector we need to get well beyond the 'wow' factor in social media and get real in using these new channels for fundraising and communications".

David Dixon has worked for two decades with charities and cultural organisations as has fellow Director Vanessa Blake. Both are also Directors of The Phone Room which has been providing telephone fundraising services to many key players in the UK since 1997.

Euan Semple joined Voice bringing his social media and online experience at the BBC and with clients around the world. Euan is a well know writer, public speaker and thinker advising companies on social networks as a business tool.

Sylwia Presley joins the team to contribute her word-of-mouth and social media ethics experience at word-of-mouth agency, 1000heads.

UK Fundraising's Howard Lake and Chris Denton, Marketing Director of The Barbican Centre are non-executive members of the Board.

Euan Semple said: "I have been working with social media more or less since it was invented and for a long time I have wanted to find a way to bring my commercial and government experience to support charities and the arts. Voice will enable me to make a real difference."
