Cause-driven film festival opens to entries

Entries are now open to the third annual Lights. Camera. Help, the film festival for nonprofits and cause advocates. The winning entries receive cash prizes in the form of proceeds from ticket sales.

Entries are open to charities and campaign organisations and film-makers from around the world. The event offers a chance for charities to promote their causes internationally.

In 2009 there were 140 entries and in 2010 there were 235. They ranged from documentaries to public service announcements.

Submissions are accepted until 31 May 2011 and there is no charge for entry by nonprofits and causes. The festival takes place from 28-30 July in Austin, Texas.
