HMRC wants views on improving its tax-effective giving statistics

HM Revenue and Customs

HMRC is inviting comments and ideas on the National Statistics for Tax relief on charitable giving with the aim of improving them. These statistics and tables cover a range of topics such as 'Gift Aid by higher rate taxpayers by size of donation 2003-04', 'Cost of tax relief', and 'Gift Aid donations amounts'.

HMRC has set up a public survey to help them gather ideas on how they might improve the statistics and identify gaps in them. The survey runs until 11 June 2012.
