Spoof Clegg 'I'm sorry' video to raise funds for children's hospital

A version of Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg's video in which he said "I'm sorry" for breaking a Party pledge on tuition fees is to be released as a charity single, with the Liberal Democrat leader asking that all proceeds be donated to Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust.

The video, created by satirical website The Poke, is a reworking using the auto-tune audio effect of a message that will be broadcast next Monday.

The spoof version has set Mr Clegg's apology to music and sees him repeating the words many times.

The Liberal Democrats confirmed today that the satirical version could be used as a single provided it raised funds for the hospital in Mr Clegg's constituency. His wife Miriam Gonzalez Durantez became a patron of the hospital in January 2011.
